The Goessel High School girls’ and boys’ cross country teams ran Thursday against stiff competition at the Hesston Invitational.
The races pitted schools from 1-3A against each other.
The boys were 14 out of 20, and the girls took 15th.
“It was wet and soggy,” GHS sophomore Laird Goertzen said, “but we ran anyway. We were happy with the results.”
The boys competed separately by grade and the girls had divisions that consisted of freshman/sophomore and junior/senior.
