Giesbrecht family fundraiser Friday

A special pie night fundraiser will be 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hillsboro Memorial Park Scout House for Hillsboro resident Cris Giesbrecth.

Giesbrecht, a former nurse at Parkside Homes, was recently diagnosed with a terminal brain mass.

The event will help her family of four pay medical expenses not covered by insurance.

Special gluten- and allergen-free options will be available.
