Tabor College senior Mary Goering will perform her senior violin recital at 7 p.m. Monday in the Tabor College Chapel. The recital is open to the public.

Goering is a music and Biblical religious studies major studying under Nancy Johnson. Preston and Deb Goering of Newton are her parents.

“Tabor has helped me realize a clearer vision for what it means for music to be a ministry,” Goering said. “The music classes have challenged me and given me the ability to understand and interpret how to play pieces with a greater sense of context.”

After graduating in May, she hopes to pursue a degree in music therapy.
