After winning in lopsided fashion Tuesday, Goessel boys fell to fourth Saturday with a 57-38 loss to Inman at the Burrton Tournament.
Inman took a 15-2 lead Saturday and Goessel had no answer the whole game, trailing 18-8 at through one quarter.
Nathaniel Zogleman scored five points in the second quarter, followed by a Jerah Schmidt 3-pointer and the Bluebirds trailed by 11 at halftime.
Jacob Hagewood battled for rebounds and went to the free throw line in the third quarter, but Goessel still trailed 47-32 through three quarters.
Thursday held another ill-fated game for the Bluebirds, with losing 49-59 to Little River.
The Bluebirds pulled close at 41-43 in the third quarter, but costly turnovers cemented the loss at 57-38.
Dylan Lindeman received all-tournament honors, and Jacob Wiens won the freshman free throw contest.
The Bluebirds are 7-3 for the season and play Moundridge on Friday at home.

Girls Lose At Home
Friday found the Goessel girls Moundridge at home, but it ended poorly for the team with a 46-30 loss.
It took nearly five minutes for the Bluebirds to score, but they kept pace for the first quarter as Moundridge led 8-7.
Freshman Riley Graber tied the game 9-9, and her three-pointer gave the Bluebirds their only lead of the game 12-11. Elizabeth Schmucker scored two buckets to keep the game tied 16-16 but, the Wildcats hit seven free throws and held Goessel scoreless for the rest of the quarter.
Moundridge led at the half 23-16, and Goessel fell behind 19 points by the end of the third quarter.
Schmucker hit five points to begin the fourth quarter but the game ended with a home loss.
The Bluebirds have three games in this week’s tournament at Fairfield, and their record is 2-7.
