The Goessel High School boys’ basketball team went on the road Friday and picked up its sixth victory of the season at Argonia.
After a slow start in the first quarter, the Bluebirds picked up the scoring pace and finished ahead, 65-63.
Austin Unruh came off the bench in the contest after sitting out all five previous games because of a football injury.
Balanced scoring again described the Bluebird offense as three players reached double figures.
Nikko Herman led the team with 13 points, Kendall Voth hit 12, Craig Banman laid in 11, Weston Hiebert put in eight, Travis Fensky scored seven, Aaron Reimer dropped in four, Austin Unruh and Chad Wedel each had three, and Hayden Goerzen and Bryant Miller each scored two points.
Goessel (6-0) will be at home with two tough games against Hutch Trinity (4-0) Jan. 6 and Sedgwick (3-2) Jan. 9.
Those games will mark the start of Heart of America League play.
