Goessel boys lose to Canton-Galva

Berean was deadly from the free-throw line and the Goessel boys lost at home on Tuesday 58-34. Goessel trailed at the first quarter14-7, but when Berean went on a 16-0 run in the second period, the Bluebirds were playing with a 20 point deficit for the rest of the game.
Seniors Kellen Froese and Lucas Hiebert led the team in scoring with 7 and 6 points respectively.
Canton-Galva
Connor Davis stepped up with a season-high 16 points, but Goessel fell 71-47 to Canton-Galva on Friday.
Goessel played tough in the first quarter, with Hiebert getting 6 of his 8 points in the opening frame. Goessel trailed 17-11 at the end of the first quarter.
Lawton Makovec and Froese hit 3-pointers to tie the game at 17. but the Bluebirds trailed 31-26 at the half.
The Eagles exploded for 25 points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
