The beautiful weather on Sunday, Sept 25, brought out 46 walkers and runners for the Goessel Area Crop Walk.
The six-mile walk and the two-mile walk started and ended at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church. A preliminary total of $7,500 was collected and donated to CROP or Mennonite Central Committee, to help with drilling wells that produce clean drinking water for people in countries where water is scarce and unsafe.
Approximately one-fourth of the funds raised will stay in Marion County to help with the local food pantry located at Tabor Mennonite Church near Goessel.
