Of the 12 schools in the Heart of America League, eight of them brought teams to the league cross country meet.
The Goessel High School girls’ squad finished third and the boys’ team took fifth place.
Kristen Hoffman and Sara Boman medaled for the girls’ team.
Personal bests were accomplished by five of the boys as they circled the course at Harvey County East Park.
The Goessel teams will compete Saturday at the 1A regional meet at Cessna Activity Center in Wichita.
