Six Bluebirds medaled Thursday at Hesston, where each grade competes by themselves.

The early races were held in the rain and the course was slippery and muddy by the end of the day.

Devon LeRoy led the boys with a fifth-place finish in 20 minutes, 51 seconds in the senior division. Brody Schroeder, Zackary Guerrero, and Nathan Impson all finished around 23:50.

Julia Nightengale finished 12th in the junior division at 25:53. Pacing the Bluebirds. Seniors, Lauren Rymil and Jenn Meysing both medaled with 16th and 19th places respectively.
