Goessel ends football season with loss to Central Plains

Central Plains, ranked second in 8-man Division I by The Wichita Eagle, displayed its running and passing balance Thursday in a 60-6 win over Goessel.
Goessel trailed 44-6 at the end of the first quarter and the game ended at halftime.
The only score the Bluebirds mustered in their last game of the season was a kickoff return by Trevor Beisel for 68 yards.
Goessel could not get a rushing game going. Chase Flaming threw for 54 yards with Lucas Hiebert gaining 29 yards receiving and Beisel 19 yards. Miguel Guerrero and Matt Regier led the Bluebirds in tackles.
Goessel finished the season 1-8 overall and 0-5 in district.
