Goessel FFA alumni earn American Degree

Emily and Madeline Meier of Goessel are American FFA Degree recipients.

The degree is the highest an FFA member can achieve.

Both girls have state FFA degrees and were active in their FFA chapter. They also were outstanding academically.

Emily and Madeline are the daughters of Greg and Suzanne Meier and are sophomores at Kansas State University.

Each girl owns and manages her own 30-pair herd of commercial beef cattle consisting of Shorthorn, Maine Anjou, and Charolais.

Madeline is majoring in ag communications and is active in Kappa Delta sorority, KSU Ag Ambassadors, Silver Key Sophomore Honorary, and Ag Communications of Tomorrow Club.

Emily is majoring in Animal Sciences and Industry with a business emphasis. She is active in Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, KSU Ag Ambassadors, and the KSU horse judging team.

They will officially receive their degrees at a special ceremony Nov. 2 at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
