The undefeated Solomon Gorillas dominated Goessel 60-14 on Friday at Goessel.
Solomon scored 30 points before Goessel could get on the scoreboard. Josh Schmidt broke the Bluebirds scoring drought with a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Chase Flaming ran in the conversion, making the score 8-30.
Solomon scored on a 12-yard run, and then intercepted a Bluebird pass for another score. With time expiring in the half, Schmidt hit Trevor Beisel on a 5-yard pass to bring the score to 46-14.
In the second half, the Bluebirds could not get the ball across the goal line. Solomon scored twice in the third period to end the game 60-14. The last score coming with 1:06 left in the third period.
Miguel Guerrero, Schmidt and Flaming led the team in tackles.
Goessel ran for 145 yards and passed for 61.
Goessel will face Canton-Galva at home Friday in district play, with both teams winless in three district games.
