Lanna Wagner, a freshman at Goessel High School, participated Saturday in the regional science fair at Emporia State University.

Her experiment, “So You Think You Can Wash?” was entered in the biomedical/health category. She placed first in Division I for this category and second overall for Division I.

She will take her experiment to state competition April 4 and 5 at Century II in Wichita.

According to her extended learning teacher, Sherri Sells, Lanna showed up the first day of school with a literature review and slideshow already created to teach about good hand washing. She told Sells she did it because she was bored over summer.
