GOESSEL: GHS boys finish ninth, girls fourth
Staff writer
For the first time this season, the Goessel High School boys 4x800 relay team scored points Friday at the Larry Brown Invitation track meet at Remington High School. Adam Meysing, Nathan Czarnowsky, Jannik Glake, and Grant Flaming made the eight laps in 9 minutes, 46.10 seconds for fifth place.
Laird Goertzen ran his fastest time in the 1600 meters picking up third to go along with a second-place finish in the 3200. Heath Goertzen picked up two more points with his best distance in the triple jump. But it was too few athletes in too few events to score enough points to finish in the middle.
Goessel will host the Wheat State League track meet Thursday.
