Staff writer

The Goessel High School girls 4x400 relay team, with Jennifer Van Horn running the anchor leg, came from behind and nipped Berean Academy at the finish line by .016 seconds to secure the third-place team spot April 26 at the Hillsboro Central Kansas Track League meet. The relay time was the fastest of the season despite rain and cool temperatures.

Van Horn earned a personal best in the long jump, Brittny Czarnowsky bettered her time in the 3200 meter race, and Ali Buller chopped 10 seconds off her time in the 800.
