Although the Goessel girls had five entries at the state track meet in Wichita, they were not able to secure any points.
Riley Jarvis cleared two heights in the pole vault and finished 12th at 7 feet, 6 inches. Erin Brubaker ran the 300-meter hurdles in 54.96 seconds to finish 15th.
Jennifer Meysing ran seven laps in the 3,200-meter run in 16th place, but used the last several meters to pass another competitor on the eighth lap. Her time was 14 minuntes, 4.05 seconds. The 4x100-meter relay team of Jarvis, Olivia Duerksen, Shelbi Stultz, and Aleena Cook made the lap in 54.85 seconds for 15th place.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Jarvis, Brubaker, Duerksen, and Page Hiebert also earned a 15th place finish in a time of 4:36.32.
Goessel has the potential of returning all of these athletes, because none of them were seniors this year.
