Goessel girls struggle at Herington

Only three girls scored at Herington in Goessel’s final league game of the season.
The Bluebirds fell behind 20-14 after the first quarter and trailed 34-25 by halftime.
Two points were all the Bluebirds mustered the third period, leading to a 55-32 loss.
Stephany Meyer scored 24 points, Maddie Smith added six, and Elizabeth Alderfer chipped in two.
Goessel finished 3-6 in Wheat State League games, finishing in a tie for seventh place.
The girls now stand at 4-13 with three more games left before the sub-state tournament.
