Goessel girls win Tescott meet

Brittney Hiebert and Aleena Cook paced the Goessel girls as the Bluebirds won the 14-team Tescott track meet May 5.
Hiebert won two events, running the 400 meters in 1 minute, 2.79 seconds and the 1,600 in 5:35.15. Both were season bests.
Cook posted her best times of the season as she placed second in the 100 in 13.24, and also in the 200 with a time of 28.26. She earned third place in pole vault by clearing 7 feet.
Rachel Manis ran a season best 6:01.09 in the 1,600 for fourth place. Olivia Duerksen cleared 4 feet, 8 inches in high jump to place fourth, and finished sixth in long jump. Coral Mitchell finished fifth in pole vault, and Jennifer Meysing picked up a sixth place in the 3200 meter run.
