Goessel Goal Getters
Members of Goessel Goal Getters 4-H club celebrated the beginning of their new 4-H year with installation of officers and enrollment activities Oct. 5 at Goessel Elementary School.
After roll call, which was to introduce the person sitting on the right, Shelbi Stultz led the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge. Matt Regier was the birthday song leader. There were 61 members and new members present.
New officers installed for the year were president Hannah Perry; co-vice presidents Kent Duerksen and Kaleb Dailey; secretary Jessie Perry; treasurer Austin Unruh; reporter Keenan Stultz; council representatives Jacob Dailey and Bruce Benjamin; historians Mikayla Lare, Rebekah Herrel, and Olivia Duerksen.
Recreation leaders installed were Shelbi Stultz, Matt Regier, Heath Goertzen, Jake Herrel, and Ethan Dailey; parliamentarian Laird Goertzen; and assistant secretary Callyan Lacio.
Members turned in project enrollment cards and signed up for committee work.
Announcements included 4-H Sunday on Oct. 4 at Goessel Mennonite Church, a recognition supper Oct. 11 to honor Aileen Esau’s many years of dedication as a community leader, and plans for the county 4-H Achievement Banquet on Nov. 6.
