Goessel grad grabs weekly sports honors at Bethel

Jennifer Meysing, a Bethel College freshman and Goessel High School graduate, was named women’s runner of the week for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
She ran a 5K race at Emporia State University on Sept. 22 in 23 minutes, 2 seconds, placing 69th of 147 runners heavy with NCAA DII and NJCAA competitors.
In the second week of the season, Tabor College’s Julie Loewen was named women’s runner of the week after winning a 5K race with 35 runners in 19:26 on Sept. 12 at Sterling College.
