Goessel runners win two races

Goessel cross-country had a strong showing last week, as Jerah Schmidt and Elyse Boden each won their races at Harvey County West Park.

Schmidt pulled away from the competition in the last half of the race. The 41 degrees and wind slowed his pace, but the 18:35 time was impressive.

Boden separated herself from the competition and stayed in the lead most of the race. She finished in first with a time of 22:54.

Goessel will return to Harvey County West Park on Thursday for the Wheat State League and Heart of the Plains League Cross Country Meet.
