Goessel senior attends FFA conference
Goessel High School senior Alexandria Nickel made traveled last week to Washington, D.C. to take part in the National FFA Organization’s Washington Leadership Conference.
She and adviser Alicia Cox participated in the conference with 70 FFA members from Kansas, and 300 members from four other Midwestern states.
Discussion topics included advocacy within the agricultural industry and the challenges created by poverty.
Students also visited landmarks like the Smithsonian, Arlington Cemetery, and the National Archives.
