Goessel teachers to learn mental health training
Goessel teachers will learn how to spot and help young people at risk through Prairie View mental health clinic.
The mental health training will be funded by a $550 grant Prairie View of Newton is receiving from Goessel Community Foundation.
During the course teachers will learn to spot risk factors for mental health and addiction concerns, and strategies to help someone, whether in a crisis or non-crisis situation.
GCF is also awarding a $330 grant to Families and Communities Together, which will be used to aid families in the Goessel area.
