Some of the freshmen and sophomores sat out the meet April 27 at Marion in order to participate in an underclassmen event later in the season. So, the Goessel coaches used the Marion meet as an opportunity to try people in new events. For the boys team, the 4X400 relay team consisting of John Berkholz, Weston Hiebert, Cameron Stultz, and Jared Reimer took home first place and tied their best time of this season. Berkholz, Laird Goertzen, and Evan Hiebert all brought home gold in individual events. The Goessel boys finished behind Berean Academy and Marion.
