Group to share Valentine's Day love by song

Those looking to send a special kind of message to their Valentine can contact the Goessel High School Elbiata Singers.

From 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, the choir group will show up at your valentine’s door or workplace in formal attire and deliver a sing-o-gram for a donation.

“I’m honestly not sure who came up with the idea,” Goessel choir teacher Andrew Voth said. “It’s been a tradition for some time now.”

He said the group typically travels as far as Newton, Hillsboro, and Moundridge to sing.

This year the choir will sing songs such as “Stand By Me,” “Embraceable You, and “Accidentally in Love.” The boys will sing “Red, Red Rose,” and the girls will sing “Best of My Love.”

To book the Elbiata Singers contact Voth at (620) 367-2242 or e-mail votha@usd411.org. A donation is suggested.
