Wheat State all-league volleyball Team has been announced, and Goessel High School has more girls on the team than there are spots on the court.
Seven Goessel girls made the team, including Page Hiebert, Eden Hiebert, Alyssa Booton, Alicen Meysing, Olivia Duerksen, Brittney Hiebert, and Aleena Cook. Leah Booton received an honorable mention.
“I think they were voted on honestly,” head coach Crysta Guhr said. “I think our girls are very good volleyball players and our record speaks for itself. It felt good that they were honored in that way.”
Guhr also took home the award for coach of the year.
“I’m honored to get it,” Guhr said, “but mostly I’m honored because we won. Winning league is always a big deal.”
