Hearing aid checks will be available for patrons of Hillsboro Senior Center at 11 a.m. on May 21.

Clay Works Disability will be at the center May 22 for a program.

Foot care is available May 27. Call the center for an appointment.

New countertops were installed in the center’s kitchen last week. Director Brenda Moss said they look way better than their worn out counterparts.

The countertops were paid for by a $2,500 grant from the Hillsboro Community Foundation.

Plans to replace an ailing air conditioner and leaky windows are also in the works. Patrons are currently fundraising for both projects, which they hope to have completed by the end of summer.
