The annual Hillsboro Community Hospital Heart and Sole 5K fun run/walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Hillsboro Community Hospital.

Proceeds from the run will go toward the purchase of a new treadmill for the physical therapy department.

Several vendors will set up booths in front of Hillsboro Clinic. Post-race fruit and snacks will be available, and raffle drawings will also take place.

Entry fee is $25, and same-day signups will be available. Those who register after Sept. 16 are not guaranteed a T-shirt.
