Former nurse Helen L. Morgan, 88, died Nov. 6 at her home in Great Bend.

She was born July 13, 1926, to Lawrence and Ida (Jarvis) Slaymaker at Peabody. She married Thomas Earl Morgan April 22, 1948, at Eunice, New Mexico.

She worked as a registered nurse at facilities in Wichita, Garden City, and Great Bend. She also managed Great Bend Estates Mobile Home Park. She was a member of First Christian Church, Great Bend.

She was preceded by her husband and a brother, Lawrence J. Slaymaker.

Survivors include: daughters Sandra Jenks, Kim Tutak, and Terri Delgado, all of Great Bend; a sister, Joyce Austin of Edmond, Oklahoma; a brother, Marvin Lee Slaymaker of Pampa, Texas; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brother, Lawrence J. Slaymaker.

Services were Tuesday at First Christian Church in Great Bend, with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
