Herman Friesen

Herman K. Friesen, 72, Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 28, 2008.

Born Feb. 27, 1936, at Garden City, he was the son of Harry and Helen (Klassen) Friesen.

He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1954 and attended Tabor College and Chicago Bible College.

On Aug. 28, 1956, he married Shirlene Harms at Moundridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bryan; and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Shirlene of Bella Vista, Ark.; son, Douglas Friesen of McPherson; sister, Gladys; brother, Elmer; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at Word of Life Fellowship Church, Bentonville, Ark. Burial followed in the Bentonville City Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the Word of Life Fellowship Guatemalan Orphans.
