The Hillsboro High School Concert Choir, under the direction of Lynn Just, will perform Friday during the Kansas Music Educators Convention in Wichita.
The 62-member choir was chosen through an audition of choirs from across the state. The program includes songs in Latin, French, Indonesian, African languages, and English.
The public is invited to attend the 9 a.m. performance in the Mary Jane Teall Theatre inside Century II. Free guest passes may be obtained beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the connecting lobby between Century II Concert Hall and the Expo Center/Hyatt at the KMEA on-site registration area. Sign in at the guest pass table and let them know what group you are there to listen to. The guest pass provides access to all performances and the convention booth Friday.
Also singing at the convention in the Middle Level State Honor Choir are freshmen Riley Loewen, alto; Daniele Melton, soprano; Caleb Bettles, tenor; and Graham Pankratz, bass. The honor choir performance is at 5 p.m. Friday in the Century II Concert Hall. Tickets are $7.
