HHS FCCLA members receive training

Hillsboro High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America members participated in a training conference Aug. 27 and 28 at Cross Wind Conference Center in Hesston.

Several national FCCLA programs, including community service, STOP the Violence, financial fitness, and student body, were presented by state officers and peer education teams.

Rhett Laubach of Oklahoma facilitated the youth training, illustrating FCCLA leadership and teambuilding using seven princples of samurai.

Members Joshua Elliott, Natasha Hollingshed, and Melissa Lieder attended the workshop.

FCCLA adviser Monica Leihy also attended the conference and participated in an adviser training session.
