HHS students 'Working' on musical

Hillsboro High School will present the musical “Working” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 to 14.

The musical is based on a book of interviews with American workers by Studs Terkel. The musical portrays workers that often are taken for granted: teacher, parking lot attendant, waitress, millworker, mason, trucker, firefighter, housewife, and more.

The ensemble cast includes seniors Kimberly Brown, Rochelle Cecil, Michael Christian, Heather Goldsby, Evan Just, Briana Loewen, Matt Richert, and Amanda Roble; juniors Cory Abbott, Dylan Delk, Hayley Pankratz, and Jordan Riggs; sophomores Nick Ediger, Olivia Kliewer, Sammy Koons, and Luke Moore; and freshmen Kale Arnold, Ashley Bartel, Tyler Burst, Erika Just, and Rhonda Rogers.

Tickets cost $5 and go on sale Monday at the HHS office. Tickets are also available by calling (620) 947-3991.
