HHS to present Twain comedy

Staff writer

Hillsboro High School students will present the play, “Is He Dead?” Friday and Saturday in the high school auditorium.

“I have a feeling that many people think that because it’s called “Is He Dead?” that it is a murder mystery, but it is not at all,” director Terry Bebermeyer said. “It is a total comedy about an actual painter, Jean Francois Millet.”

Mark Twain wrote the play in 1898, but it wasn’t published until 2003.

The cast includes Jordan Riggs, Jake Wiebe, Peyton Loewen, Hayley Pankratz, Luke Moore, Molly Wiebe, Erin Wiebe, Bailey Kaufman, Rachel Schneider, Kate Litchfield, Allister Young, Josh Wiebe, Cody Delk, Meghan Leihy, Erin Winter, and Letitia McClelland.

Tickets cost $5 and are available at the HHS office or at the door. Both productions begin at 7:30 p.m.
