Hiebert to play volleyball at Tabor
Goessel’s Brittney Hiebert was among five volleyball signees announced Monday by Tabor College.
Hiebert, a 5-foot-11 middle blocker, was all-league honorable mention as a freshman, second team as a sophomore, and a first team her junior and senior seasons.
She made the state tournament team after her junior year and was honorable mention all-state. She also excelled in the classroom as a Kansas Volleyball Association all-academic pick after her sophomore, junior, and senior years and was honorable mention her freshman season.
Goessel was 172-4 during her four years, including one state championship, two runner-up finishes, and a third place.
Her parents are Kristy Turner and Lonnie Hiebert.
Joining her among Tabor signees Monday were Lonna Porter, a 5-foot-10 right hitter and setter from Hutchinson; Allison Crist, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from Lincoln; Tiana Sothers, a 5-foot-7 setter from Scandia; and Taylor Quiring, a 5-foot-9 outside hitter and defender from Henderson, Nebraska.
