High school announces students of the month

Five students will share student of the month honors at Hillsboro High School.

Reece Berens, Jenna Hinerman, Allison Maxfield, Madi Sheppard, and Tyson Reimer are November’s winners, selected by faculty and staff.

Reece, son of Greg and Michele Berens, is a member of Technology Students Association, forensics, scholar’s bowl, Tampa Triple T’s 4-H club, and Abilene Faith Lutheran youth fellowship. He is a football manager and basketball and volleyball videographer. His hobbies and interests include building robots for TSA, reading, and watching sports. His plans include going to K-State to major in computer science.

Jenna, daughter of Jerry and Tamara Hinerman, is involved in cheerleading, piano, forensics, scholar’s bowl, Parkview Mennonite youth group, and the school musical. Her hobbies and interests include swimming, spending time with friends, singing, and her part-time job at the Tabor cafeteria. Her plans include attending college.

Allison, daughter of Jonathan and Dana Maxfield, is involved in Parkview Mennonite youth group, the musical, Spirit ‘n’ Celebration, choir, band, and cross country. Her hobbies and interests include exercising with friends and baby-sitting. Her plans include attending a Christian college and going into ministries around the world.

Madi, daughter of David and Maria Sheppard, is involved with cheerleading, Parkview Mennonite youth group, the fall musical and spring drama, and Girls Going Adventurous Places. Her hobbies and interests include working at the Marion pool, learning about other cultures and countries, and swimming. Her plans include going to college and working with people, with a possible degree in abnormal psychology.

Tyson, son of Brenda Walls and Cameron Reimer, is involved in football, baseball, and the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren youth group. His hobbies and interests include hunting and fishing, working out, and spending time with family. His plans include attending college and majoring in sports management or sports marketing.
