Hilda Knak, 84, Hillsboro, died Sept. 24, 2008.

Born Aug. 3, 1924 at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Paul K. and Katharina (Schmidt) Funk.

She was a housewife and cook.

On March 12, 1946, she married Eldon Willard Knak of rural Goessel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Michael D. Knak.

Survivors include five sons, Ronny L. Knak of Wichita, Don E. Knak of Florence, Glenn D. Knak of Salina, Larry A. Knak of Thomsontown, Penn., and Roger D. Knak of Farview, Okla.; one daughter, Clarice A. Warkentin of Hillsboro.; brother, Roy Funk of Goessel; sister, Lenora Gehring of Moundridge; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Memorial funds have been established with First Mennonite Church or Parkside Homes.
