Three members of the Hillsboro Chess Guild competed in the Intercontinental Scholastic Team Championship chess tournament March 29 and 30 in Naperville, Ill.

Two teams from Kansas participated along with a Russian team and teams from Illinois and Indiana.

Jacob Denholm competed in the 16 and under class.

Matthew Denholm placed second and Jordan Fryhover placed fourth competed in the 18 and under class.
