Hillsboro district approves hirings

Hillsboro kicked off its second week of school by approving four hires Monday.

The most notable approval was for Joeb Corona at $13 an hour. Corona started as a custodian Aug. 16.

The board also approved Connie Beavers’ hiring as a classroom aide at Hillsboro Elementary, filling a spot left by Marilyn Ratzlaff’s resignation that took effect Aug. 16.

Teachers Holly Dalke and Mike North, both of whom are new to Hillsboro, took on additional roles. Dalke was tabbed to be the high school’s second assistant volleyball coach, and North was picked to be detention supervisor for middle and high school.
