Hillsboro golfer wins Wichita fourball title
Ryan Bina, a former Hillsboro High School athlete, struck a 12-foot chip-in perfectly Sunday to win the Wichita Golf Association City Fourball title.
Bina and partner Vance Holtzman played bogey-free on Sunday, shooting a four-round score of 267 to tie with Steve Newman and Tracy Chamberlin, three-time champions in the event.
Bina also had an eagle on the ninth hole. Bina and Holtzman became friends after Bina’s wife was maid of honor in Holtzman’s wedding.
Raymond and Denise Bina, of Marion, are Bina’s parents.
