Golfers from 13 cities competed Thursday in a nine-hole women’s team scramble tournament at Marion Country Club.
The 26 teams entered were “the most I’ve ever had,” tournament coordinator Lois Smith said.
Hillsboro teams who placed included Vicki Manuel and Rita Brennan, third in the first flight with a score of 44, and Raye Dirks and Brenda Kimberly, who shot 47 for fourth in the second flight.
Judy Noller of Marion and Kathy Kopfman of Burlington won the championship flight with a score of 35.
