Hillsboro High School has named its students of the month for March.
Lydia Kliewer, daughter of Lawrence and Gail Kliewer, is a member of the cross-country team, basketball team, and scholars’ bowl. Kliewer participated in the fall musical, is a member of Parkview Mennonite Brethren Youth Group, is helping with the spring play, and plans to compete in track. She enjoys reading, cooking, sewing, and playing with her cats.
She plans to study medicine.
Cody Delk is a member of FFA, 4-H, Spirit-N-Celebration, Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Youth Group, and football, wrestling, and baseball teams. He is the son of Rob and Tina Delk and enjoys hunting, fishing, music, and playing sports.
After graduation, he plans to study and play football at Tabor College and enlist in the National Guard.
Destiny Sharp, daughter of Dana Orsak and Eric Devine, participates in FCCLA and plays softball and tennis. She enjoys drawling, softball, tennis, and hanging out with friends.
After graduation, Sharp plans to major in visual arts.
Abi Funk, daughter of Chad Funk, participates in GAP and choir. She enjoys reading in her free time.
After graduation, she hopes to work with animals as a kennel assistant.
Nathan Simhiser enjoys tinkering with electronics or building things. He is the son of Bill and Becky Simhiser. He is a member of the football and wrestling teams.
After graduation Simhiser plans to attend college and major in engineering.
Isaac Spencer is the son of Lloyd Spencer and Amanda Crowe. In his free time he enjoys reading and skateboarding.
He plans to major in either cyber security or aviation after graduation.
Oliwia Pytlewska of Poland, daughter of Piotr Pytlewski and Rozalia Rytlewska, is a member of the Ebenfeld youth group. Her host family is Dan and Becky Suderman. She enjoys playing piano, singing, cooking, traveling, and baking in her free time.
She hopes to attend college in the U.S. in the future and become a surgeon.
