March 20: Suspicious activity was checked in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street when someone entered a vacant residence. A funeral escort was provided. Assistance was provided in securing a residence in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street. Bicycles were registered at the police department. An emergency message was delivered in the 100 block of South Ash Street.
March 21: A dog complaint was checked at First and Washington streets. A motorist received assistance in the 200 block of North Adams Street. A citation for vehicle noise was issued. An officer instructed a D.A.R.E. class at the Hillsboro Elementary School. Children reportedly were throwing rocks in the 100 block of South Ash Street.
March 22: Officers attended safety training at city hall. A parking complaint was reported in Hillsboro Heights.
March 23: A drug awareness program was presented at Hillsboro Middle School. Suspicious activity was checked at Memorial Park. An officer instructed a D.A.R.E. class at the elementary school. An emergency message was delivered in the 300 block of North Cedar Street. Trespassing and domestic disturbance were reported in the 400 block of West B Street. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with an injury accident.
Thursday: Kansas Bureau of Investigation received assistance with an investigation. A possible suicidal individual in the 600 block of South Washington Street was transported by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. A motorist received assistance at Hillsboro Municipal Airport. Hillsboro Fire Department personnel received assistance with traffic control. An individual was fingerprinted for employment. Assistance was provided to a sheriff’s deputy with a domestic disturbance.
Friday: Damages were reported in the 100 block of North Main Street and in the 200 block of South Main Street. Officers qualified at the firearms range.
Saturday: A vehicle registration tag was reported missing in the 200 block of West Grand Avenue. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a reckless driving complaint. A wild animal complaint was checked in the 700 block of South Main Street.
