Hillsboro police

An individual reported the theft of $500 worth of tools Friday from his truck in the 100 block of South Date Street. The items were taken sometime between March 18 and March 20.

March 15: A complaint was filed against a juvenile in the 400 block of South Main Street. Violation of a protection from abuse order was reported in the 200 block of North Jefferson Street. A motorist received assistance at U.S.-56 and Ash Street.

March 16: Grandview Police Department received assistance with a missing person report. Assistance was provided to Kansas Highway Patrol in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Suspicious activities were reported in the 400 block of South Main Street and the 900 block of East D Street. Park City Police Department received assistance with an investigation. Abandoned property was picked up at Main and D streets.

March 17: SRS received assistance with an investigation. An attempted phone scam was reported in the 400 block of South Birch Street. A traffic complaint was filed at Memorial Park.

March 18: Suspicious activity was checked in the 500 block of South Wilson Street. A harassment complaint was filed in the 900 block of East D Street. Assistance was provided with a vehicle registration complaint in the 400 block of South Lincoln Street. A domestic disturbance in the 700 block of South Lincoln Street was determined to be a verbal confrontation between the two adults.

Thursday: A skunk was reported in the 800 block of West Grand Street. An individual reported the theft of two portable DVD players from his residence in the 400 block of South Main Street. The total loss was estimated at $120. An officer recovered property that was reported missing. Suspicious activity was checked in the 400 block of South Cedar Street. Kansas Bureau of Investigation received assistance with an investigation.

Friday: A peddler’s permit was issued at city hall. Suspicious activity was checked at Ash and D streets. An individual reported she found the glass from a screen door at the front of her house in the 300 block of North Birch Street was broken. The loss was estimated at $25. Several people caused a disturbance in the 500 block of East D Street.

Saturday: An individual reported the theft of a bicycle in the 400 block of South Cedar Street, valued at $200. Several disorderly juveniles were reported at Memorial Park. Assistance was provided to an EMS crew in the 400 block of West B Street.
