An individual reported receiving threatening text messages from a former boyfriend Dec. 22 in the 100 block of North Cedar Street, Hillsboro.

Dec. 14: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 400 block of South Adams Street. Damage was reported in the 900 block of East D Street when an individual reported someone had broke the door handle on his vehicle. Motorists received assistance at Adams Street and U.S.-56 and in the 400 block of North Ash Street.

Dec. 15: A traffic complaint was filed in the 500 block of East Grand Street. An individual reported his/her bicycle was stolen from Tabor College. A parking complaint was filed in the 600 block of South Ash Street. A welfare check was conducted in the 400 block of South Ash Street.

Dec. 16: EMS received assistance in the 300 block of North Birch Street. Officers provided a K-9 demonstration and tour for Boy Scouts. A welfare check was provided at Washington and Grand streets. El Dorado Police Department received assistance with an investigation.

Dec. 17: A 911 disconnect was checked in the 300 block of North Birch Street. Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance in the 600 block of South Lincoln Street. Suspicious activity was checked at the sports complex.

Dec. 18: Kansas Bureau of Investigation received assistance with an investigation. Assistance was provided to Newton Police Department with an investigation. An individual was arrested on an outstanding warrant. A welfare check was provided in the 300 block of West Third Street.

Dec. 19: An individual reported a possible check scam. A court services officer received assistance. A vehicle tag was reported missing in the 200 block of South Main Street. Marion County Sheriff’s Department received assistance with an investigation. Assistance was provided to SRS with an investigation. A landlord/tenant dispute was reported in the 200 block of South Madison Street. A welfare check was conducted in the 400 block of North Main Street.

Dec. 20: A civil stand-by was provided in the 200 block of South Madison Street. EMS received assistance with a call in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Lost property reported stolen was returned to the owner after turned in to the police department.

Dec. 21: Suspicious activity was checked at Tabor College when an individual reported hearing strange noises. Chase County Sheriff’s Department received assistance. A traffic complaint was filed at Ash and D streets.

Dec. 22: A traffic complaint was reported in the 500 block of East Grand Street. Officers arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant. A water leak was located on D Street. A welfare check was conducted in the 200 block of East First Street. Assistance was provided to a court services officer with a home check.

Dec. 23: Liquor licenses were delivered to businesses. A court services officer received assistance. An individual reported damage to a concession stand at Tabor College.

Dec. 24: A civil process was served for city hall. Assistance was provided to the sheriff’s department with a traffic complaint. Suspicious activity was checked in the 200 block of South Birch Street.

Thursday: A water leak was located at First and Lincoln streets. A traffic complaint was filed in the 500 block of East D Street. A child custody dispute was reported in the 300 block of South Birch Street.

Friday: An individual reported someone threw an egg at his vehicle. KBI received assistance with an investigation.

Saturday: An individual was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Road conditions were monitored because of ice. Suspicious activity was checked at U.S.-56 and Adams street.
