Hillsboro Community Hospital reported someone had brought an individual to the emergency room Friday who was suffering from alcohol poisoning.
April 5: A motorist received assistance at Marion County Fairgrounds. An individual reported someone had cut four of the tires on a vehicle in the 800 block of West Grand Street with a damage estimate of $530. Damage also was reported in the 200 block of South Date Street when an individual found damage to a plate glass window at the front of his/her residence. Damage was estimated at $100. A dog complaint was filed at the sports complex. Suspicious activity was checked in the 600 block of North Ash Street and a suspicious person was checked at D and Adams streets.
April 6: A stalking complaint was filed at Hillsboro Heights. Assistance was provided to Kansas Highway Patrol with a drug search and to SRS with an investigation. Individuals were reported selling door-to-door without a license. A motorist received assistance at the sports complex. Officers assisted with the removal of an unwanted guest in the 200 block of South Birch Street. An emergency message was delivered in the 100 block of South Lincoln Street. A nuisance complaint was filed in the 600 block of West Grand Street. A child custody dispute was investigated in the 300 block of South Birch Street.
April 7: A trespass complaint was made at Hillsboro Heights. Suspicious activity was checked in the 300 block of South Ash Street. Response was given to a noise complaint in the 600 block of West Grand Street. When the officer had to respond a second time, a subject was taken into custody for suspicion of disorderly conduct.
April 8: Assistance was provided to a motorist on D Street. Marion Police Department received assistance with an investigation. Suspicious activity was reported at Ash and D streets. An officer instructed a DARE class at Hillsboro Elementary School. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. A parking complaint was filed in the 500 block of South Ash Street. An individual on probation was checked because he/she was traveling under a court permit.
Thursday: A military recruiter received assistance. Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of West Third Street. The city street department was notified of a road hazard in the 200 block of South Washington Street. A stranded motorist in need of lodging received assistance at Hillsboro Heights. Assistance was provided to the Kansas Attorney General’s Office with an investigation.
Friday: The sheriff’s department received assistance with an investigation. Assistance was provided to a motorist in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A juvenile disturbance was reported in the 400 block of East First Street.
Saturday: A parking complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Main Street. The sheriff’s department received assistance with a damage complaint.
