An individual reported the theft of a Sony PSP game player and games April 13 from his/her locker in the 500 block of East Grand Street. The loss was valued at $294.
April 12: A 911 disconnect was checked in the 100 block of South Wilson Street. A traffic complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Ash Street. A domestic disturbance in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street between an adult male and an adult female was determined to be a verbal dispute. An animal complaint was filed in the 200 block of West Grand Street.
April 13: A dog complaint was checked in the 500 block of East Grand Street. A business in Hillsboro Heights reported an unwanted guest. Officers served an arrest warrant in the 300 block of South Ash Street. A civil stand-by was provided in the 300 block of South Madison Street. Suspicious activity was checked along the former railroad tracks near Jade Road.
April 14: Assistance was provided to the Kansas attorney general’s office with an investigation. An officer conducted a DARE class at Hillsboro Elementary School. A commercial alarm was activated in the 800 block of East D Street. Family services received assistance with a supervised visit in the 100 block of East Grand Street. An activated commercial alarm was checked in Hillsboro Heights.
April 15: A domestic disturbance in the 400 block of East First Street between an adult male and an adult female was determined to be a verbal confrontation. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. An officer instructed a DARE class at HES.
Thursday: Suspicious activity was checked in the 500 block of East Grand Street. A domestic disturbance in the 700 block of South Washington Street between a father and son was determined to be a verbal confrontation. A welfare check was conducted in the 700 block of West Grand Street when an individual had not recently been seen and had not returned a borrowed vehicle. A gas skip was reported in the 500 block of East D Street. An activated commercial alarm was checked in Hillsboro Heights. A reckless driver was reported on U.S.-56. A welfare check was provided in the 100 block of North Main Street.
Friday: A runaway was reported in the 100 block of North Birch Street. The juvenile was located and transported to juvenile intake. Assistance was provided to Marion County Sheriff’s Department with a civil process. Assistance also was provided with a vehicle search in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Hillsboro City Council packets were delivered. EMS received assistance with a call in the 500 block of West Grand Street and with a call in the 600 block of South Main Street. A traffic obstruction was reported at Main and F streets. An individual reported someone had damaged a screen door and blind at his/her residence in the 900 block of East D Street. Damages were estimated at $40. A motorist received assistance at U.S.-56 and Jade Road. A 911 disconnect was checked in the 300 block of South Adams Street.
Saturday: A traffic complaint was filed in the 500 block of West Grand Street. A noise complaint was reported in Memorial Park. Assistance was provided for the apprehension of a reckless driver on U.S.-56. A dog complaint was checked in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street.
