An individual from Herington reported April 20 that someone from Hillsboro had borrowed a vehicle several weeks ago and had not returned it. The suspect since had disappeared and the victim reported the vehicle as stolen. The vehicle was last seen in the 700 block of West Grand Street, Hillsboro, and was valued at $3,000. The suspect later was located in Wichita and taken into custody.
April 19: Marion Police Department received assistance with an investigation. A juvenile complaint was filed in the 100 block of North Birch Street. Assistance was provided to Marion Police Department with a vehicle search. A parking complaint was checked in the 500 block of South Wilson Street. An activated commercial alarm was checked in Hillsboro Heights.
April 20: Dog complaints were reported in the 200 block of South Madison Street, in the 400 block of West Grand Street, and two complaints in the 200 block of South Ash Street. A possible drunk driver was reported in the downtown district. A suicidal subject was reported in the 400 block of North Ash Street and was transported to a mental health facility. Suspicious activity was checked at Hillsboro Heights.
April 21: A missing bicycle was reported in the 400 block of East A Street. SRS received assistance with an investigation. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. An officer instructed a DARE class at Hillsboro Elementary School.
April 22: A court services officer received assistance with an investigation. A traffic complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Ash Street. Two thefts were reported in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. The subjects reported a Zune MP3 player, valued at $300, was missing from a dormitory room, and $200 cash was missing from another room. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Main Street. SRS received assistance with an investigation. A K-9 unit performed a search at Hillsboro High School.
April 23: A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Ash Street. A juvenile complaint was made in the 300 block of North Birch Street. A funeral escort was provided. An officer instructed a DARE class at HES. A motorist received assistance at A and Kennedy streets.
April 24: A parking complaint was checked in the 400 block of West B Street. A juvenile complaint was filed in the 600 block of West Grand Street. A door-to-door salesman was reported selling without a permit. Suspicious activities were reported and checked in the 100 block of North Main Street and the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 100 block of South Jefferson Street.
April 25: A dog complaint was reported in the 300 block of South Ash Street. A bicycle was reported missing in the 400 block of East Grand Street. A reckless driver was reported on Indigo Road. A parking complaint was checked in the 200 block of South Washington Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Main Street. A welfare check in the 300 block of West Third Street resulted in the individual refusing assistance. The same individual later reported having a medical problem but left the residence prior to the arrival of an ambulance. Assistance was provided to a motorist at D and Ash streets. A juvenile complaint was filed in the 700 block of South Lincoln Street.
April 26: Children were reported playing in floodwater. Assistance was provided with back-up dispatch because of weather concerns. Traffic control was provided at Third and Adams streets because of high water. Curfew violations were reported at the sports complex.
April 27: An activated commercial alarm was checked at Hillsboro Heights. A traffic complaint was filed in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Wichita Police Department received assistance with an investigation.

April 29: Assistance was provided with a vehicle fire in the 200 block of South Ash Street. A possible insurance scam was reported in the 200 block of South Kennedy Street. An officer instructed a DARE class at HES. A dog complaint was checked in the 400 block of East First Street. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street.
Thursday: A motorist received assistance at Third and Ash streets. A traffic complaint was checked at Grand and Main streets. Assistance was provided to an EMS crew at Hillsboro Industrial Park. Kansas Attorney General’s office received assistance with an investigation. A report was made of an individual exposing himself at Hillsboro Heights, which resulted in charges pending against a Marion man. A bicycle was reported stolen in the 200 block of South Madison Street, which was and later recovered. Several disorderly males were reported in the 500 block of East D Street.
Friday: An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. An individual was arrested in the 300 block of South Ash Street on outstanding warrants. A missing bicycle was reported in the 400 block of West Grand Street. A parking complaint was checked at C and Cedar streets. Several curfew violations were reported at Memorial Park.
