After numerous break-ins during the past few weeks, officers checked reports of suspicious activities.
Nov. 23: A traffic complaint was filed in the 200 block of South Madison Street. A motorist received assistance at U.S.-56 and Adams Street. A domestic disturbance in the 300 block of North Cedar Street was determined to be a verbal confrontation.
Nov. 24: EMS received assistance on Willow Drive. A suicidal subject in the 400 block of North Ash Street was reported; officers transported the individual to a mental health facility. A funeral escort was provided. An individual reported money was missing from their apartment on Willow Drive. A business on Orchard Drive reported someone had thrown a rock through a door window; no one entered the building and nothing was taken. Suspicious activity was checked at Hillsboro Heights.
Nov. 25: A break-in was reported in the 200 block of South Cedar Street when someone gained entry and removed $100 in cash. Suspicious activity was checked at Grand and Ash streets. McPherson Police Department received assistance with an investigation. A funeral escort was provided. A welfare check was conducted. Assistance was provided to Goessel Police Department with an investigation. In separate incidents, suspicious activities were checked in the 900 block of East D Street, 200 block of South Main Street, and at Hillsboro Heights. A prowler complaint was filed in Carriage Hills. A parking complaint was filed in the 500 block of East D Street. Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance with an anhydrous ammonia leak at Hillsboro Industrial Park.
Nov. 26: A parking complaint was filed at C and Adams streets. In separate incidents, suspicious activities were checked in the 100 block of South Adams Street. Hillsboro City Council packets were delivered. A suspicious vehicle was checked in the 300 block of South Birch Street. Two suspicious people were checked in the 200 block of South Ash Street.
Nov. 27: A motorist received assistance at the industrial park. Assistance was provided with a child custody dispute. A traffic complaint was filed at D and Ash streets.
Nov. 28: Suspicious activity was checked at Grand and Main streets. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. A dog complaint was filed in the 400 block of North Ash Street. An individual was reported selling products door-to-door without a permit. Marion County Sheriff’s Department received assistance with a domestic disturbance.
Saturday: A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Date Street. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. In separate incidents, suspicious activities were checked at Hillsboro City Hall and in the 100 block of North Main Street. Hillsboro Water Department was contacted regarding a water leak. An activated commercial alarm was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street.
