Hillsboro Police Report

Charges are pending against a Hillsboro man following a report Dec. 1 of child abuse. An outside agency alleges the abuse occurred in Hillsboro.

Nov. 30: A criminal threat complaint was filed in the 900 block of East D Street when an individual reported being threatened by a second individual. An individual was reported selling without a peddler’s permit. A motorist received assistance at Hillsboro Industrial Park. A suspicious person was checked in the 300 block of East Third Street.

Dec. 1: A suspicious person was checked at Ash and Grand streets. Assistance was provided with a reckless driver on U.S.-56. A suicidal subject in the 700 block of South Washington Street was transported to a mental health facility. A prowler complaint was filed in the 500 block of West Grand Street. A trespass complaint was reported in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. Charges are pending against a Hillsboro man following a report of child abuse by an outside agency. The abuse allegedly occurred in Hillsboro. An individual reported she had discovered information on her computer that may indicate someone had discovered her personal information.

Dec. 2: A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of North Birch Street. Officers initiated a residential search, looking for stolen property. Kansas Bureau of Investigation received assistance with an investigation. Possible sexual abuse of a small child was reported. The child does not reside in Hillsboro but the abuse may have occurred in Hillsboro. The case remains under investigation. An individual reported the possible theft of keys.

Dec. 3: A littering complaint was reported in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. Suspicious people were reported in the area of B and Birch streets. A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Main Street. Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of East D Street. A suspicious person was checked in the 100 block of South Main Street.

Thursday: An individual reported someone had removed jewelry from her residence located on Park Avenue. The victim said she recently had moved to the residence and numerous people had visited and worked at the residence. An officer instructed a drug awareness course for an EMS class. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. Assistance was provided to KBI with an investigation. Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of South Ash Street. A noise complaint was filed in the 200 block of South Birch Street. A suspicious person was checked in the 200 block of South Main Street. A camper hook-up was provided at Memorial Park.

Friday: An individual reported someone had taken his truck from the 300 block of South Eisenhower Street and abandoned it in the 200 block of East C Street. Marion Police Department received assistance with an investigation. A Hillsboro juvenile was arrested on a pickup and detain order, and transported to a juvenile facility. An individual reported her son was assaulted by two juveniles. SRS adult services received assistance with an investigation. Assistance was provided to a motorist in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A bondsman received assistance in locating an individual. A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of North Cedar Street. A probation violation was reported in the 700 block of South Lincoln Street. A traffic complaint was filed at Ash and D streets. Suspicious activity was checked in the 900 block of West D Street.

Saturday: A motorist received assistance at U.S.-56 and Ash Street. Non-operable street lights were reported along Ash Street. A reckless driver complaint was filed. A traffic complaint was made at Ash and D streets.
